In placing these individuals within smaller and also corporate businesses, our clients receive the highest calibre of talent, either in the form of short work placements, 6-12 month internships or by offering our experienced pipeline of candidates for permanent graduate recruitment opportunities.

Our background

Since 1999, we’ve been successfully managing the UK’s leading undergraduate placement scheme, Shell Step. The programme has grown to become Shell's largest social investment in the UK and focuses on helping young people to develop their skills and achieve their potential through a structured summer placement in a small business. 

We’re growing our programme portfolio

Shell Step is the cornerstone of our placement programmes which we are developing continuously for national government and regional agencies such as:

• London Development Agency (LDA)

• East Midland’s Development Agency (EMDA)

• Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)

• South East of England Development Agency (SEEDA)

Our programmes are closely linked to key Government policy agendas concerning graduate skills, employability and knowledge transfer.

As a natural route of progression, and following the successes of our work experience programmes, we launched a specialist graduate recruitment division in 2006. This graduate-focused service has allowed us to make the most of the skilled graduates who have completed one or more of our placement programmes and to support our clients in recruiting some of the most enterprising graduates in the market.

Working with companies of all sizes, we have now developed a full graduate recruitment service offering, which utilizes our pipeline of experienced graduates from our placement programmes, and incorporates a percentage of recent graduates and 'second jobbers' direct from our links with some of the leading Universities in the UK.

Through each step of our placements and recruitment process, our candidates’ profiles are meticulously maintained to ensure that we offer the most suitable candidates for our clients’ graduate employment opportunities, and the most exciting graduate jobs for our candidates!
